Privacy Policy

Effective as of July 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Next Digital (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the Hook mobile application (“Hook” or “the application”). Please also review our Terms of Use, which govern your use of the application generally.

Identity of the Application Operator

The application is operated by: Next Digital
Contact email: Support@hookapp.ai

1. Eligibility

The application is intended solely for users over the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete the associated data and terminate the account.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data – When a user creates an account, they provide us with basic information to set up the account, such as name, email, profile picture, and password. During profile setup, the user provides their date of birth, which is used solely to verify that the user is 18 years of age or older. Users under 18 are not permitted to complete their profile or use the application. To minimize the collection of personal information, we do not retain the user’s full date of birth in our database — only the resulting age is stored following age verification.
  • Profile data – When a user completes their profile, they share additional details about themselves. Providing this data constitutes consent to its use as described in this document.
  • Content – When a user uses the service, they share screenshots of conversations and/or chats with others, and/or message text they copy and paste into the application, and/or questions, requests, and messages intended for analysis using artificial intelligence.
  • Usage data – Conversation history, preferred tone, and related usage statistics.

3. What the Application May Store

  • Usage history within the application.
  • History of conversations with the artificial intelligence.
  • Response tone preferences.
  • Usage data, including number of replies and additional statistical information.
  • Technical device information for security and operational purposes.

4. Purpose of Data Collection

Information is collected and used to: (a) provide the application’s services; (b) analyze conversations using artificial intelligence; (c) generate suggested responses; (d) improve user experience; (e) manage the user’s account; (f) secure information and prevent misuse.

5. Transfer of Information to Service Providers

We may transfer information to service providers solely for the purpose of providing the service, including: Google (Gemini API), Firebase (used to support “Continue with Google” sign-in), Supabase, RevenueCat, and Apple.

6. Third-Party Content Within Conversations

In the course of using the application, a user may upload or paste content that includes messages, statements, or images originating from a third party — for example, a person the user is communicating with on an external dating platform (“Correspondent”). Such Correspondent content is processed solely for the purpose of generating a suggested response for the user, and is not used by us to build a profile of, identify, contact, or otherwise engage with the Correspondent. The user represents that they have a lawful basis to share such content for this purpose, and agrees not to upload content shared with them in violation of another person’s rights or reasonable expectation of privacy. We do not independently verify the identity, age, or personal circumstances of any Correspondent referenced in content uploaded by a user.

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence

To generate responses, some of the information the user uploads (including text and screenshots) is transferred to Google’s servers via the Gemini API, a secured application programming interface, under our paid (pay-as-you-go) commercial plan. The user is asked not to enter especially sensitive information that is not necessary to receive the service. Under the terms of our commercial plan, customer data (including inputs and outputs) is not used by Google to train its foundation models and remains isolated within our project boundaries.

8. No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law (including the CCPA).

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain user data for as long as the user’s account remains active, or as necessary to provide the application’s services. A user may submit an account deletion request directly within the application. Upon submitting a deletion request, the account enters a 7-day deletion period, during which the user loses access to the account but may cancel the deletion request and restore access. If the request is not canceled within 7 days, the account and all associated user data are permanently deleted. All user data remains securely stored in Supabase until the deletion process is completed. Deletion of account data does not affect the retention or deletion policies of third-party service providers (such as Apple or RevenueCat) with respect to records they independently must retain.

10. Additional Rights for Users in the United States

Users located in the United States, including California residents, may have additional rights under applicable local law, including the CCPA, such as the right to know what categories of personal information have been collected and for what purpose, the right to request deletion (subject to the exceptions in Section 9), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact Support@hookapp.ai.

11. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

The application may use advertising and analytics technologies provided by third parties (such as Meta or TikTok) to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. To the extent such technologies rely on device-level identifiers for cross-app tracking, the application requests the user’s permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before the onboarding flow begins. The user may decline this request, or change their choice at any time, via the device’s settings, without losing access to the application’s core features.

12. Application Permissions

To provide the service, the application may request certain permissions from the user’s device, including:

  • Access to the photo gallery – to select and upload screenshots or images for analysis.
  • Access to the camera – to photograph and upload screenshots or images.

Granting these permissions is voluntary, and the user may change or revoke them at any time via device settings. Revoking certain permissions may cause some features to not function fully or to be unavailable.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, unilaterally and without prior notice to users. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

14. Jurisdiction

Any matter relating to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to Israeli law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, and no other court shall have jurisdiction over this matter.
